Rubayet Sharmin Banya, a student of class one, has been suffering from thalassaemia, a genetic blood disorder. Sharmin, who has stopped going to school, receives regular blood transfusions, but doctors said she should undergo bone marrow transplantation immediately. But her father Md Abdul Majid, a teacher of Jagannath College, could not afford such expensive treatment which involves about Tk 25 lakh. He has been trying to raise funds for her daughter's treatment for the last two years. He appeals to the generous people to extend a helping hand to save her daughter.
