Woman found dead, one shot, 2 stabbed in city

Body of an unidentified woman was recovered, one shot and two were stabbed in separate incidents in the city yesterday. Police recovered the body of the woman aged about 35, clad in red saree, from the road behind Shaheed Suhrawardy College in the old part of the city at around 7:00am. The body was sent to Midford Hospital for autopsy. In another incident, 30-year-old Rahim Sardar, an employee of Arifa Filling Station at Road No.1 of Mirpur-10, was shot when a gang of three youths were fleeing through the area firing indiscriminately at around 10:30am. Rahim was shot in the neck when he was working in the filling station. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he is now undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, Jahid, a butcher at Farmgate, and Mohammad Ali, an employee of a shoe store at Gulistan, were stabbed and robbed of their belongings when they were returning homes from their places of work. The two are undergiong treatment at the DMCH.
