Viqarunnisa regain title

Viqarunnissa Noon School and College regained the Delta Life women's handball tournament crown after one season when they outplayed Siddheshwari Girls College 18-5 in yesterday's final at the Dhanmondi Women's Sports Complex.It was the fourth title in ten tournaments for Viqarunnissa, who failed to reach the final last year, led the first half 4-0. Jessie scored seven goals for the winners while Rumpa netted three goals for Siddheshwari, who lost their second successive final. Viqarunnissa goalkeeper Nazia was adjudged player-of-the-match. Das Deb Prasad, managing director of Delta Life Insurance, distributed prizes as the chief guest.
