Human chain formed in Barisal

A big human chain was formed in Barisal city on Saturday protesting the death of Jubo Dal leader and Barisal City Corporation (BCC) commissioner Mahbub Alam Mehdi after a raid in his house by Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) .Thousands of people including women and children participated in the two-kilometre long human chain organised by the victim's family. Demonstrators carried banners and placards and demanded punishment to the killers after a judicial probe into the tragic incident. At Barisal Zila School crossing, police prevented demonstrators from proceeding towards the city centre.
