Hasan makes it 2-0 for U-15s


A scintillating 131 not out by Mahmudul Hasan steered Bangladesh Cricket Board Under-15 team to their second win in as many matches against visiting CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal) U-15s yesterday.

Having recorded A 124-run victory two days earlier, the local side thrashed their cross-border opponents by 126 runs at the BKSP ground in Savar.

Hasan, who came to bat at number four, smashed nine fours in 131 balls as BCB U-15s amassed 308 for six in 50 overs after electing to bat.

The local boys were reduced to 106-4, but Hasan repaired the damages during a 190-run stand with Baizid Hamid, who contributed a run-a-ball 74.

Joyjeet Sasu's 53 was the highlight of CAB U-15's 182 all out. Ashiquzzaman took 4-26 and skipper Humayun Kabir 3-36.
