Polls in eight municipalities will be held on the first day and the rest on the second, said Election Commission sources.

All the government and non-government offices in the municipal areas concerned will remain closed on the election days, said an EC press release.

Besides, all kinds of gatherings, rallies and processions in the election areas will be banned in the last two days before the polls. The highest punishment for violating the order is seven-year rigorous imprisonment, the release added.
