Aggrieved students

We always find that the government and other institutions give emphasis on the development of English Language. However, it is a matter of sorrow that the students of English Literature under the National University are always suffering due to the negligence of the concerned authorities. Last year, we saw that the government awarded the first class first students of Hons (Final Year) with gold medals. However, what about the students of English Literature? There was no student of English department on that occasion because nobody got first class in this subject. Actually, getting first class in English Literature is rare and tough. But should they be left out of the government's plan to encourage students?
