Diploma nurses place demands

Diploma nurses yesterday demanded that they be given status as second class employees and the higher posts be reorganised properly.

They also demanded that the newly appointed staff nurses having the same qualification and two diplomas be made senior staff nurses.

The Bangladesh Diploma Nurses Association (BDNA) placed their 11-point demand at a press conference in the city yesterday.

Bangladesh Diploma Unemployed Nurses Association also placed another 11-point demand, including immediate appointment to newly created 2,000 posts of senior staff nurse.

BDNA President Taposhi Bhattacharya and General Secretary Ishrat Zahan spoke at the press conference.
