Privatisation of four banks protested

Leaders of Left Democratic Front (LDF) yesterday protested the privatisation of four nationalised banks including Agrani Bank.They also protested the appointment of foreign advisors in those banks at a cost TK 100 crore. Addressing a rally at Motijheel, the front leaders said there is no need for foreign advisors to develop the banks. Instead, national experts can be deployed to remove corruption and political interference from those banks, they added. They termed the appointment of foreign advisors a conspiracy to destroy the banking sector.
