Azam Reza's bail move turned down

The High Court (HC) yesterday rejected bail petition of Azam Reza, who is now in custody for allegedly murdering his wife Joyontee Reza, a teacher of Scholastica School.A vacation bench comprising Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and Justice Mohammad Miftahuddin Chowdhury passed the order after hearing the petition. Joyontee was found dead in her house at Gulshan. A murder case was lodged in this regard. The case is now pending with the Court of Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Dhaka. Senior Advocate Abdul Malek appeared before the court on behalf of Azam Reza, while Deputy Attorney General Helal Uddin Mollah and Assistant Attorney General Mohammad Abdul Baset stood for the state.
