Low over Bay

A low formed over southeast and adjoining southwest Bay yesterday morning and has intensified into a well-marked low.

"It is likely to intensify further and concentrate into a depression," says a special bulletin of the Met Office.

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Mongla have been advised to hoist distant cautionary signal no one ® one.

All fishing boats and trawlers in the deep sea have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution.

In Mid-September, a low over the Bay turned into a land depression as it passed through the country triggering heavy rains.
