Seven die in separate incidents in two days

Seven unnatural deaths took place in Dhaka, Savar, Narayanganj and Gazipur in the last two days. A construction worker died falling from an under construction building at Mirpur in the city yesterday. Billal Hossain, 40, fell to the ground from the sixth floor in an under construction building at 7 Milk Vita Road. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared him dead. Habibur Rahman, 12, a class six student of Mirpur High School, and Mohammad Palash, 13, son of Wahiduzzaman, drowned in the Turag at Diyabari in Mirpur. Police recovered their bodies at 10:00am yesterday. In Savar, police recovered a decomposed body of an unidentified female, aged around 20, beside Kaliakoir graveyard in Birulia union at around 10:30am on Thursday. Savar police recovered another body of a male, aged around 30, from a canal in Bhakurta union on Thursday evening. In Narayanganj, a bus ran over constables Abdul Mannan, 40, and Bazlur Rahman at Pagla Thursday . The two were rushed to the DMCH where doctors declared Mannan dead. In Mirpur, police recovered the body of Champa Begum, 20, wife of rickshawpuller Ripon Khan, resident of South Bishil on Thursday. Her body was found hanging from the ceiling of her room with her saree. In Gazipur, Maria, 9, daughter of Milon Miah of Joydebpur, took insecticide as her mother scolded her for taking food on Thursday. She died at the DMCH at 2:00pm.
