BNWLA workshop on Islam, women's rights

Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association (BNWLA) on Thursday organised a workshop on "Ensuring Women's Rights within Islamic Framework" at Rajshahi Parjatan motel conference room. Rajshahi University Law and Justice Department Chairman Prof Asma Sidikka moderated the workshop. Salma Ali, Executive Director of BNWLA, was present as the chief guest while its Vice- president Sayeda Afser Jahan was the special guest. Leaders of different women's organisation, political parties, Imams of mosques, Islamic Foundation officials, Rajshahi University teachers, lawyers, local government leaders, civil society members and journalists also took part in the workshop.
