Rab held two outlaws in Khulna

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an alleged accomplice of top terrorist Asaduzzaman Litu from Halia village under Batiaghata upazila of the district on Thursday night. He was identified as Kamalesh Roy alias Kanu, 34. According to Rab sources, Kamalesh, an armed cadre of Litu, is also linked with outlawed Biplabi Communist Party. Litu used Kamalesh mainly for purchasing and selling heavy arms. He is now at Rab headquarters at Khalishpur for quizzing. Rab also arrested another extremist on Thursday night. He was identified as Shimul, 28, of Bhanga upazila in Faridpur district. Shimul, arrested from Khalishpur, belongs to Janajuddho faction of PBCP. He is being quizzed at Rab headquarters. Rab sources said the combing operations will continue to recover all illegal arms left by the terrorists killed in 'crossfires' in the south-western region of the country.
