The India-Pakistan one-day international that was planned as a celebration of the BCCI's platinum jubilee has been brought forward by a day to November 13. According to a report by the Press Trust of India, Jagmohan Dalmiya made the change after the police in Kolkata, where the match is to be held, protested at the originally scheduled date of November 14. The police felt that security for the match would be hard to organise, as two Indian festivals, Kali Puja and Diwali, would also be taking place at that time. Postponing the match was ruled out as another festival, Eid, was due to be celebrated on November 15 and 16. Thus, preponing it to November 13 was the only way out.
