A first-round match between Jiri Novak and Radek Stepanek was interrupted on Monday when a young ballboy fainted in humid conditions due to hydration, the New York Times reported. The 13-year-old boy was chasing a ball in the first hour of the match when he collapsed. The players attended to him giving him water and a towel but they were upset that it took so long to get medical help to courtside. "We called a doctor and for 20 minutes nobody came. We were just lucky that he was all right," Novak said.
