PM updates president on flood tackling

Prime Minister Khaleda Zia called on President Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban yesterday evening and apprised him about tackling of the recent flood, distribution of relief materials and post-flood rehabilitation programme.The prime minister also discussed with the president the upcoming Saarc summit, scheduled to be held in Dhaka in January next, said a Bangabhaban press release. The president appreciated the government for successfully tackling the devastating flood and hoped that the post-flood rehabilitation programme would also be successful. Also present on the occasion were Anwara Begum, wife of the president, LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Abdul Mannan Bhuyian and Prime Minister's Political Secretary Haris Chowdhury.
