A faction of Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal vandalised the office of chief health officer and the DCC staff and workers union office on Tuesday.

The inquiry committee headed by Akhteruzzaman, deputy chief revenue officer, has been asked to submit its report within next seven days, said Alamgir Hossain Khan, secretary of the DCC.

Action will be taken on the basis of the report, he added.

The conflict between the two factions -- Jatiyatabadi Sramik Karmachari Union of DCC unit and Sarbadaliya Sramik Karmachari Samannay Committee -- came to a head as supporters of Union President Zahangir Alam attacked the activists of the Samannayx Committee at Motijheel when they were marching towards Muktangan to join the ruling BNP's protest rally on Sunday.
