20 hurt in B'baria clash

At least 20 persons were injured in a clash over land dispute between two rival groups at Nabipur village in Nabinagar upazila on Sunday.There had been a longstanding rivalry between Mia Bari and Member Bari of Purbapara at the village, according to eye- witnesses and police. Jurul Haque and Nurul Amin of the rival groups started an altercation at night on the fateful day. At one stage, both the groups armed with lethal weapons locked in a clash. Seven of the injured were admitted to Nabinagar Upazila Health Complex.
