Inaugurating the branch, Vice-chairman of the bank A Rouf Chowdhury highlighted the commercial importance of old Dhaka as the bank opened its 2nd branch in the area. He also stated the bank would become more closely associated with the economic activities of the area.

He gave an account of the activities of the bank focusing on its services to the clients, says a press release.

Chowdhury mentioned that the bank had successfully adopted a two-pronged policy of recruitment of quality manpower and development of technology-based products for expanding its market share.

Shafiuddin Chowdhury, Md Sirajul Haque and Rumee A Hossain, directors of the bank, and Syed Anisul Huq, president and managing director, also spoke at the function.

A large number of people including industrialists, businessmen and local elite attended the function.
