Take new project for the disabled
PM tells Social Welfare Ministry

Prime Minister Khaleda Zia yesterday asked the Social Welfare Ministry to properly implement its projects and take new ones, if required, for the welfare of the disadvantaged and disabled people.She was speaking at a review meeting on the progress of the development programmes of the ministry at the ICC at Prime Minister's Office. Khaleda appreciated performance of the ministry and assured all necessary assistance in its endeavour to improve the condition of the distressed, backward, unemployed and disabled people and involve them in the main stream of development. Briefing journalists after the review meeting, Social Welfare Minister Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid said the PM asked his ministry to take more welfare-oriented projects, if necessary, for development of the disadvantaged and disabled people so that they can contribute substantially to overall development.
