Greenade Attacks
PM adamant to find real culprits


Prime Minister Khaleda Zia yesterday expressed the government's firm resolve to identify the perpetrators of August 21 grenade attack on Awami League's rally through neutral investigation, thwarting various evil attempts that may be made to subvert the probe.

"The government has taken all measures to find out the culprits involved," she said.

The prime minister made the remarks when an eight-member delegation of the Council for National Agenda (CNA) led by its Chairman Justice Mohammad Abdur Rouf met her at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Other members of the delegation are Prof M Moniruzzaman Mia, Prof Emajuddin Ahmed, former secretary Shah Abdul Hannan, eminent journalist Sadek Khan, economist Dr Mahbubullah, Vice-chancellor of the National University Prof Aftab Ahmed, and poet Esharof Hossain.

The prime minister sought cooperation of all in maintaining the forward march of the country without obstructing the function of various institutions.
