BDB, JSD sit to work out plan to oust govt

Leaders of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) sat last night to work out a plan to unseat the four-party alliance government and run the state after its ouster.

"The coalition government has no moral rights to cling to power anymore after the August 21 grenade attack and we have a similar opinion," BDB President AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury said.

"But toppling the government alone will not change people's fate. We'll have to work out a plan to do so, we'll have to ensure that the next government is a government for the people," the former president told reporters during the meeting at the BDB office in KC Memorial Clinic in Baridhara.

JSD President Hasanul Haq Inu said, "We've agreed to oust the BNP-Jamaat government but we're aware that we must work out a permanent solution to rid the country of power politics, corruption, terrorism and communalism."
