Fundraising effort for the flood victims

Kranti, a cultural organisation, arranged a solo music session by a regular group member Arif Rahman. The venue was the National Museum Auditorium at 6.00 pm on August 2. The programme was a fundraiser for the flood victims. In the concert, Arif's first music album Mon Aamar Deho Ghari was released. Eminent folk singer Rahindranah Roy, the chief guest, launched his album. General Secretary of Shamilito Shankshritik Jote, Golam Kuddus was the special guest of the programme.Syed Moazzem Hossain, the President of Kranti, was in the chair in the discussion session . The programme began with the welcoming speech of Mahabubul Haidar Mohon, the General Secretary of Kranti. Mahabubul Alam Chowdhury, the honourable guest, and Sraban on behalf of Music Mind were the other discussants of the programme. The discussants focused on the progressive cultural activities as well as the social commitment of Kranti. They also hoped for a bright future for Arif Rahman. After the discussion session, Arif Rahman presented few songs like Man Aamar Deho Ghari, Moner Dukkho Kare Koi and Aamar Sharol Mone from his first album. Maintaining the same tune of the popular folksongs, Arifs has used modern western instruments, which he claims as the remix of the popular songs.
