'Waive renewal fees for pay channels for July'

Cable TV Equipment Importers, Dealers and Cable Operators Association of Bangladesh (CIDACAB) requested the authorities concerned to waive the renewal fees for pay channels for the month of July on account of the revenue loss they suffered for floods.The CIDACAB at a meeting at its office in the city on Sunday also made a strong plea for the exemption of renewal fees until the flood havoc would be over as "the operators could not realise even a tenth of their service charge from the subscribers". CIDACAB president SM Fazlul Karim Abu presided.
