Relief work continues

Different political, social and cultural organisations continued their relief operations in various flood affected areas in and outside the capital yesterday.Prof AQM Badruddoza Chowddhury, president of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh, distributed relief materials at Tongibari upazilla in Munshiganj. Left-leaning five party distributed relief at Badda in the city. Dhaka City Mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka distributed relief materials among the flood-hit people at different areas in the capital. Harunur Rashid Khan Monno, a former minister, distributed relief in Manikganj. Sammilito Sangskritik Jote distributed food items at city's Taltala super market. Pran Group distributed fifty thousand liters of mineral water and other food items among the destitute people. Dewanbagh Sharif has distributed flattened rice, molasses and water purifying tablets among the flood victims of different districts. Bangladesh Scouts started distributing oral saline, high protein biscuits, rice, puffed rice, bread, lentil, water purifying tablets and some other necessary items among the flood victims. Dhaka University and Presidency University are collecting cash, dry food, oral saline, water purifying tablets and clothes for flood-hit people while North South University staffs have donated their one-day salary for them.
