Sumon Basu of Kolkata Madiyagram High School maintained his solo lead in the Class VI to X Group of the 6th Standard Chartered Bank School Chess tournament beating his compatriot Antarip Roy in the penultimate round at the federation hall-room yesterday.Sumon secured 7.5 points after the end of the eighth round games while Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar of Shah Ali School beat Sayed to follow the leader with 7 points. The ninth and last round games will be held today from 10:00am at the same venue. The prize distribution ceremony will take place 5:00pm at the National Sports Council conference room on the same day.
