Govt has politicised relief operation: B Chowdhury

Former president and chief of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) Badruddoza Chowdhury yesterday said the alliance government has completely failed to tackle the floods and mitigate the sufferings of the affected people.

"Moreover, the government has politicised the relief operation by preventing other political parties and cultural organisations from collecting money and materials for flood victims," said the BDB chief while distributing relief at different villages of Laohajang upazila under Munshiganj district.

He said it is very unfortunate that the prime minister has gone to Bangkok to attend the BIMSTEC summit leaving the countrymen in floodwaters.
