3 of a family drowned

Three minors from a same family drowned in a boat capsize at Aliabad Beel under Nabingar of the district yesterday.The drowned were identified as Taudhidul Haque, 12, and Tawfiqul Haque, 5, and Dipo, 11, The three, two of who were brothers, died when the engine-propelled boat they boarded capsized in Aliabad Beel at around noon. The boat, which was laden with passengers, was going to Nabinager from Sreerampur village. Fishing boats anchored nearby managed to rescue the other passengers. Bodies of the three boys were recovered later from the same beel.
