Wearing black badges and carrying black banners, processionists paraded the main streets of the town on Wednesday. They handed over memoranda to Deputy Commissioner and Police Super of Faridpur demanding arrest to Balu's killers.

A protest meeting was held on the press club premises which was presided over by BSS correspondent Md Shajahan. Among others, newsmen Jagadish Chandra Ghosh, Munshi Haroon, Syed Imamul Azam, Sajjad Rani, Goutam Das and Sk Akber addressed the meeting.

Speakers expressed their deep concern over safety and security of journalists in south-western zone of the country and urged the government to help bring back working atmosphere there.
