The procession was followed by a rally at Khulna Press Club compound. Addressing the rally, Shaikh Abu Hasan, secretary of the press club and Khulna Bureau Chief of Dainik Prothom Alo, strongly condemned 'police failure' in arresting the killers of Balu, also the president of Khulna Press Club.

Meanwhile, the detectives are yet to make any progress in the investigation into the murder.

Acting Police Commissioner Shaikh Sajjad Ali said three arrestees being quizzed on remand are linked with undergroung operatives as evidences are available.

He said the real killers of Balu are hiding in the northern region of the country. He again expressed his hope to make headway in the investigation shortly.
