A balancing act!

I was a student in Bangladesh for five years after which I moved to London. I lived in Dhanmondi for most of the time. I have decided to air my views at this point in time due to the forgetfulness of a section of the Bangladeshi populace. Today most Bangladeshis are critical of SQ Chowdhury for his remarks on the leader of the opposition and Suranjit Sengupta MP. If people can recall, Sheikh Hasina passed most caustic remarks ever. Her remarks during her tenure are a record which needs to be broken by any present or future ruler. I can still remember the remarks of Hasina and some of her party members in parliament in 1999 in which they cast aspersions on the character of the then opposition leader.

There are people who believe that there is hell on earth.Hasina and her party members got paid with their own coin. It is a kind of balancing act. The questions I would like to raise are: Where were these so-called critics when such incidents happened in parliament? What did The Daily Star do at that time? I did not see them react the way they are reacting now!

People should understand that there is no effect without a cause; they should not just look at the matter from the effect side but also from the cause side!
