7 promoted to joint chief

Seven deputy chiefs of BCS economic cadre were promoted to the post of joint chief, said a planning ministry circular yesterday.They have also been given new postings to different departments. The promoted officers are Shahadat Hossain, Begum Nargis Shamsunnahar, currently on deputation in Berlin as commercial councillor, Abu Bakar Siddique, Md Mesbahuddin, Begum Zinaida Irfat, Begum Khaleda Akhter and Md Anwar Hossain. Their new pay scale has been fixed at Tk 11,700-13,500. Two other joint chiefs, Begum Rizia Ahmed and Abdul Zabbar Khan, have been given new assignment at the planning commission.
