Gold ornaments worth TK 30 lakh were looted from six jeweller's shops at Bangada Bazar on June 20, sources said.

Police recovered the gold ornaments from Banshkhali Jeweller's at Pathantuli under Double Mooring thana at around 1.30pm.

The recovery was made acting on the confession of Shajahan, a member of the gang of an inter-district robbers.

Bandor thana police arrested Shajahan with seven guns and 31 rounds of bullets from his rented house at Kalshidighir Parr in Halishahar on Wednesday.Earlier, police held six of the accomplices of Shahjahan in connection with Comilla Langalkote robbery on June 27.

They were Faruq alias Swapan, Md Masud Rana, Abul Kalam, Mahbub, Dil Mohammad alias Dilu, and Md Altaf Hossain alias Montu.
