Photojournalist stabbed in Ctg

A photojournalist was stabbed by muggers in front of Chittagong War Cemetery Gate at Badsha Meah Road under Kotwali Police Station yesterday.

Sohel Rana, a photographer of Chittagong office of the Bhorer Kagoj, came under the attack as soon as he came out of the cemetery after taking some photographs at around 3.00pm.

A gang of four muggers stabbed him in his hands and tried to snatch his camera and mobile.

The gang fled away in a CNG-run auto-rickshaw after exploding a cracker. Two splinters hit his legs.

Sohel was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the doctors stitched his wounds and removed the splinters.
