Health Minister Dr Khanadaker Mosharraf Hossain said this while launching the website of Directorate of Drug Administration at a ceremony at a city hotel.

A publication ceremony of the second edition of Bangladesh National Formulary (BDNF) was also held at the programme.

The minister said the web site and the latest edition of the BDNF will provide detailed information about the drug sector of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh produces quality drugs and exports drugs to 52 countries, he said.

The World Health Organisation provided financial and technical support in publishing the BDNF and launching the website, www.ddabd.org.

State Minister for Health Mizanur Rahman Sinha, Health Secretary AFM Sarwar Kamal , WHO Representative Suniti Acharya, Drug Administration Director Habibur Rahman , President of Bangladesh Aushad Shilpa Samity SM Shafiuzzaman and President of Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Society Nasser Shahriar Zahedee also spoke.
