EBL okays 20pc cash dividend
Eastern Bank Limited has approved a 20 percent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year 2003.The approval was made at the company's 12th annual general meeting held in Dhaka on Wednesday, says a press release. M Ghaziul Haque, chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting. Among others, directors of the bank and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer K Mahmood Sattar were present. The bank earned pre tax profit of Tk 63.78 crore and operating profit of Tk 75.87 crore in the year 2003.
