Envoy Anwar returns

British High Commissioner Anwar Choudhury returned to Dhaka early yesterday."Yes, he is fine and will resume his work," Mili Sengupta, head of press and public affairs of British High Commission in Dhaka, told the news agency. The British envoy was injured in a bomb blast at Hazrat Shahjalal Shrine in Sylhet on May 21. He was first admitted to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital and later shifted to the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka. On May 24, Choudhury left for UK for treatment at London's Guy St. Thomas Hospital Choudhury, a Bangladeshi-born Briton, came here on May 3 to take up his assignment as British High Commissioner in Bangladesh. He presented his credentials to the president on May 15.
