Ruling coalition candidate Mosaddak Ali Falu was unofficially declared elected with 78,727 votes and his key rival Bikalpa Dhara candidate Abdul Mannan, who withdrew from the race two and a half hours after its start, bagged 41,467 votes of the 3,09,209 in 103 centres in Dhaka-10 by-polls. The cast votes totalled 1,22,235, which is 39.53 percent of the total votes. Falu polled 64.40 percent of the votes and Mannan 33.92 percent.
