July 02, 2004       Front Page Falu books JS berth Staff Correspondent Ruling coalition candidate Mosaddak Ali Falu was unofficially declared elected with 78,727 votes and his key rival Bikalpa Dhara candidate Abdul Mannan, who withdrew from the race two and a half hours after its start, bagged 41,467 votes of the 3,09,209 in 103 centres in Dhaka-10 by-polls. The cast votes totalled 1,22,235, which is 39.53 percent of the total votes. Falu polled 64.40 percent of the votes and Mannan 33.92 percent.
