BGIC declares 20pc dividend
Bangladesh General Insurance Company Limited (BGIC) has declared a 20 percent dividend for shareholders of the company.The dividend was declared at the 19th annual general meeting of the BGIC in Dhaka on Monday, says a press release. The meeting, presided over by BGIC Chairman MA Samad, also re-elected Salim Ahmed, Sayeed Hossain Chowdhury, Ragib Ali, ASM Shahidullah Khan, Sirajul Islam Chowdhury and MA Motaleb as directors. In 2003, the BGIC earned a pre-tax profit of Tk 2.61 crore, the release added.
