New Zealand cruised to a seven-wicket victory in their NatWest Series day-night one-day international at the Riverside here Tuesday.New Zealand were well on the way to victory after bowling out England for just 101 following Kiwi captain Stephen Fleming's decision to field first. Left-arm swing bowler James Franklin took career-best one-day figures of five for 42 as England collapsed for the second successive match after being dismissed for 147 in a seven-wicket defeat by the West Indies on Sunday. Afterwards elated man-of-the-match Franklin said: "Three weeks ago I was playing for Rishton in the Lancashire League and to be able to contribute to the team's win is fantastic." The 23-year-old Wellington seamer, in the international wilderness for two years until his recall to the injury-hit New Zealand side for the third Test against England at Trent Bridge earlier this month, had an expensive start before finding his range.
