War on terror not a clash of religions: Bush

US President George W Bush Wednesday pledged relentless fight against terrorism worldwide until final victory and promised to stay the course in Iraq despite the surging violence in the war-ravaged country.

He also listed India among the countries targeted by the terrorists.

The war on terror is civilization's fight, and "as in the struggles of the last century (against Nazism and Communism), civilized nations are waging this fight together," Bush said, addressing the graduating class of the Air Force Academy in Colorado.

Bush emphasized that this is not a clash of religions. "Instead, this is a clash of political visions. In the terrorist vision of the world, the Middle East must fall under the rule of radical Governments. Our vision is completely different. We believe that every person has a right to think and pray and live in obedience to God and conscience, not in frightened submission to despots."
