Prof Fazlur Rahim passes away

Eminent Agri-scientist and former vice-chancellor of Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU) Prof Dr Kazi M Fazlur Rahim died of old age complications at Sikder Hospital at Gulshan in the city yesterday at the age of 87.He left behind his wife and one daughter to mourn his death. He was the vice-chancellor of BAU from 1971 to 1973. He was buried yesterday afternoon after his namaz-e-janaza at Gulshan Mosque. Education Minister Dr Osman Farruk expressed profound shock at the death of Dr Rahim. Teachers, students, officers and employees of BAU expressed deep shock at his death.
