In Dhaka city, there are a few parks for children. But the condition of these parks is really very pathetic . They are very dirty, and there is no proper maintenance of these parks. So, we cannot take our children to these parks.Recently, some high-tech playgrounds were built for children like- Fantasy Kingdom, Fantasy World in Concord Twin Tower etc. But the costs of these places are out of the range of the middle class people. Fantasy World is situated in Shantinagar. Its entry fee is Tk 20 per person. For each ride the fee is also Tk 20 , and some rides cost Tk 30. Even they take ride fee for the infants . Sometimes children do not enjoy some rides. But you cannot return or exchange the tickets once bought . So, these places are more concerned about making money than creating recreation facilities for the children. The prices of foods are also very high. Even a plate of 'futchka' costs Tk 25. We expect that children should have the opportunity to enter these places free of cost.
