200 illegal structures removed in Syedpur

The Roads and Highways Department demolished about 200 illegal structures from both sides of Syedpur-Parbotipur road at Choumuhoni Bazar near Syedpur town on Monday R&H sources said notices were given to the encroachers through the Nilphamari district administration earlier to remove their illegal installations. But they not pay heed to the notice. A Magistrate and a police team were present during the demolition drive that continued from 9 am to 5 pm. The structures included residences and shops.
