ADAB demands Release of Qazi Faruque

The Association of Development Agencies in Bangladesh (ADAB) yesterday demanded immediate release of Proshika President Qazi Faruque Ahmed.The demand was made at the executive council meeting of the association presided over by its Vice-President Sheikh Abdul Halim. The meeting protested the arrest of Qazi Faruque who is also the president of ADAB, said a press release. The International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW), a forum of development organisations of 74 countries, has expressed concern over the arrest of Qazi Faruque. He was global president of the ICSW from 2000 to 2003.
