Anwar Group to set up spinning mill in jt venture with Irish co
Anwar Group of Bangladesh and William Ross & Company Limited are going to set up jointly a linen yarn spinning unit namely Anwar Ross Linen Spinning Mill at Tongi in Gazipur.To this effect an agreement was signed between the two companies recently at a local hotel, says a press release. Christopher Simon Haselden, Samuel Andrew Grant of Ireland, Anwar Hossain, chairman of Anwar Group of Industries, and Hossain Mehmood, Managing director of Textile Division of Anwar Group, were present at the signing ceremony. The plant with a capacity of 2400 ton per annum is expected to create 1000 jobs. The plant will go into production in early 2005.
