Polls on IU admission test date

The students of Islamic University (IU) who are permanent residents of the town will not be able to cast their votes during the Kushtia Pourasabha elections as the university admission test coincided with the polls date.A chairman candidate, Anwar Ali in a meeting at Charamlapara in the town on Thursday demanded change in the admission test schedule. However, the university authorities seem to be indifferent to the issue. The decision to hold the Kushtia municipality polls on May 8 was taken by the government much earlier. But, the university authorities took a unilateral decision on April 25 for holding the admission test on the same date.
