Mohammedan Sporting Club won the Independence Day Football Tournament when they handed Premier League champions Brothers Union a 3-1 defeat in the final at the Rajshahi Stadium yesterday.The Motijheel outfit came from behind to end the first half 1-1. Russian striker Victor put the men in orange in the 15th minute but Mohammedan hit back through Cameroonian Olinga two minutes before the breather. Siraji scored in the 55th minute and Khokon netted in the 72nd minute to put the result beyond doubt. Post and Telecommunications Minister Barrister Aminul Haq distributed the prizes after the final.
