Pakistan selectors on Thursday dropped seasoned off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq for next week's second Test against India, but desisted from making many changes in the losing squad.Dashing opener Imran Nazir replaces Saqlain in the only change from the 16-man squad which lost the first Test by an innings and 52 runs here earlier in the day. "We don't need wholesale changes because we feel that this team is much better than what they performed in the first Test," chief selector Wasim Bari told AFP. The second Test starts in Lahore from April 5. Saqlain, playing his first Test in a year, claimed just one wicket for 204 runs, and his omission could spell the end of a career that has fetched him 208 wickets in 49 Tests. "Our bowlers need to pull up their socks if we are to draw level in the series," Bari said. "India played a very professional game and deserved the win, but Pakistan can stage a comeback because this is the best available talent."
